The following are results of the Haliburton/Muskoka District Summer Games 2018 Ontario Senior Games Association 55+ from May 24 to June 4.

Convenors Judy Smith and Donna Teravainen ran euchre on Thursday May 24 at Cardiff Community Centre. Congratulations to the first place winners Frank and Leanna Wright; second place winners Barry Brown and Helen LeBlanc; third place winners Glena Burke and Vi Johnston; fourth place winners Glen Covert and Murray Wright; and fifth place winners Evelyn Galloway and Delma Sleeper.
Congratulations to the winners who qualified from Gravenhurst Minden and Cardiff to go to the Haliburton/Muskoka District euchre final in Gravenhurst Seniors Centre beginning of June.

Convenors Kathie Porter and Linda Cherry ran bridge on Tuesday May 29 at the Stanhope Community Centre. Congratulations to the following contract bridge winners: Ross Davies and Rod Smythe from Minden won gold; Judy Neiman and Rolly Fobert from Minden and Haliburton won silver; and Mary Johnson and Ross Fletcher from Haliburton won bronze. Congratulations to the bridge players who won gold and qualified to represent Haliburton/Muskoka District in the provincials Ontario Senior Games 55+ Summer Games held in Mississauga in August.

Congratulations to the following duplicate bridge winners – north/south bridge players: Norm and Fran Smith from Minden won gold; Joan Davies and Diana Spicer from Minden won silver; Jan Heaven and Reet Murray from Algonquin Highlands won bronze.
The east/west bridge players of Mary Johnson and Ross Fletcher from Haliburton won gold; Ross Davies and Rod Smythe from Minden won silver; and Kathie Porter and Linda Cherry from Minden and Haliburton won bronze. A team will represent Haliburton/Muskoka District in the provincials OSGA 55+ Winter Games held in Huntsville in March 2019.

Convenor Mary Douglas ran the five-pin bowling on Wednesday May 30 at the Fast Lane Bowling Alley in Minden. Congratulations to the five-pin single bowlers: men’s 75+ gold to Frank Ferris from Algonquin Highlands; men’s 65+ gold to Michael Twitchin from Kilworthy; women’s 65+ gold to Loretta Cummings from Minden.
