Dysart fire chief Mike Iles secures the sign for the fire ban in Haliburton which was declared effective immediately on Monday July 9 for the entire county. Dry conditions high heat and the lack of forecasted precipitation has lead to an extreme fire risk. All permits are cancelled all open fires and campfires are prohibited during the fire ban. Fire ban declared for county

Effective immediately, Haliburton County is under a total fire ban.
Dry
conditions, high heat, and the lack of forecasted precipitation has
