TLDSB launches Your Voice Matters campaign

Published April 13 2016

Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) has launched a community engagement campaign called Your Voice Matters to help gain a better understanding of what is important to parents staff students and community members.

Using ThoughtExchange TLDSB will be able to learn about the thoughts and priorities that matter most to its stakeholders. The public is invited to participate and register online at http://tldsb.ca/your-voice- matters .

After an individual registers there are three steps to the process:
• Share – Answer open-ended questions about education in TLDSB schools
• Star – Review ideas from other stakeholders and star the ideas you like best
• Discover – Learn what is important to the community as a whole

“What’s exciting about this campaign is the transparency behind it” says Louise Clodd chairperson. “Not only will the public be able to submit their comments but they’ll be able to see and engage with
what others have said. We’re sharing the results and using the voice of our communities to shape the future of our board.”

“This is the first time we’ve engaged in a process of this magnitude to collect and evaluate all of our stakeholder feedback” says Larry Hope director of education. “The Your Voice Matters Campaign will
show us what’s important to the community as a whole and build a strong
foundation of priorities for our 2016-2020 multi-year strategic plan.”
