The Stuart Baker Elementary School Winter Carnival brought families and loved ones of area students out to enjoy winter as the annual by-donation event helped to raise $2519 for an outdoor classroom.

The event which included button making an obstacle course colouring ice bricks a raffle hot chocolate hot dogs and maple syrup taffy was made possible by sponsors such as the Haliburton and District Lions Club Haliburton Foodland Tim Hortons Pinestone Resort and Summit Food Walkers Home Hardware Needful Things Medeba Country Rose Curry Chevrolet Sir Sam’s Ski and Ride McCracken Family Esson Maple SBES families and staff for raffle basket donations. The event was supported by the Haliburton County Public Library Municipality of Dysart et al Haliburton Fire Department the OPP the Haliburton County EMS and the Haliburton County Snowmobile Association.
