William Savage’s trial has been deferred.

On Oct. 19 an application was granted for the adjournment of the Savage trial which was to be held Oct. 22. Savage is a Fenelon Falls man charged with the murder of David Palmer whose remains were found in the Haliburton area in 2015.

The matter will now return to court on Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. in Newmarket for a pre-trial. A trial date is not scheduled at this time.

Savage was charged with first-degree murder on Oct. 26 2016 in connection with the death of Palmer a 47-year-old Bowmanville man whose remains were found in May 2015. At the time of the arrest OPP confirmed that Savage and Palmer were known to each other.
