The Haliburton Highlands Land Trust is pleased to announce that effective immediately, Patrick Kennedy will assume the management of the Land Trust operations as its executive director, as well as responsibility for implementing the organization’s strategic plan.
Kennedy is known to many as the former director of the Department of Emergency Services for the County of Haliburton.
Cindy Sedore, chairwoman of the Land Trust board of directors, said: “The Land Trust is delighted that Pat has agreed to join us as our executive director. His deep knowledge of the Haliburton Highlands as well as his strong passion for the environment will help our organization in the next stage of its development.”
“I’ve always felt a special connection with our natural resources and it’s a privilege to be joining the Haliburton Highlands Land Trust. I’m excited to have this opportunity to build upon the organization’s past accomplishments and to be part of its future,” said Kennedy.
The position of executive director is funded with support from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
