The OPP have confirmed they areinvestigating a homicide that took place in Haliburton Village in theearly hours of June 18.

Haliburton Highlands OPP were called toa house along Highland Street just after 1 a.m. where they found thebody of a deceased male identified as Robert James Brown 49 of Haliburton. According to a release from the OPP33-year-old Norman Hart has since been arrested and charged withsecond-degree murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
