Real Estate Professional Magazine has named a local realtor one of its Top 200 best agents.

Linda Baumgartner of RE/MAX North Country Realty was amongst those honoured this year.

“Being recognized as one of the top real estate agents by the REP Magazine is exciting. I feel honoured knowing that my commitmenthard work and dedication to my business and clients has beenacknowledged” Baumgartner told the Echo.

This is the third year that REP Magazine has published at Top200 list which it compiles using MLS multiple listing service dataand online survey results. To make comparisons fair between agentsacross Canada the magazine used number of transactions rather thanoverall sales volume a press release states.

In Baumgartner’s 29 years in real estate she has been activein many associations including the Ontario Real Estate Association ofwhich she was president in 2003. She’s also volunteered for years on its board of directors.

In 2004 she was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and hasreceived the lifetime achievement award from the company according to REP Magazine .

“She attributes the significant increase in her business in2016 to team restructuring and fully embracing the potential of video”the magazine reads.

Last summer the Echo featured a story about a video series she created with Positive Media called 30 Days of Summer which profilesthe many things to do in the Haliburton Highlands. That series followed a similar series titled 15 Days of Winter .

Baumgartner is also active in the Haliburton Highlands Chamberof Commerce where she currently occupies the role of vice president.
