An OPP cruiser wound up in a ditch inWest Guilford on the evening of Friday April 29.

Haliburton Highlands OPP confirmed thatat approximately 6:30 p.m. there was a single-vehicle collision atHighway 118 and Kennisis Lake Road involving a marked police cruiser.According to police the officer was pulling up to the scene of acollision the front tire slipping off the shoulder and into theculvert. The officer was the sole occupant of the vehicle and policesay an investigation is ongoing.

The crash is the second such one inabout six months. On Nov. 11 a single-vehicle collision involving anOPP cruiser took place along County Road 21 the cruiser ending upslanted against a phone pole on a resident's lawn.

The cause of that crash has not beenreleased.
