After two months Haliburton Highlands OPP announced Tuesday that the investigation into a shooting near Haliburton is closed and no charges will be laid.

At around 6 p.m. on Aug. 16 2015 police were called to a residence on Highway 118 in Dysart et al just east of Haliburton.

When they arrived they found Haliburton resident Michael Chapman 62 dead. Another man was found alive suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital. His name was not released by police.
