This rendering by JWP Design of the new Haliburton skate park shows the variety of features change of elevation and the moulded contours of concrete allowing skaters and riders to transition from one area to another. /Submitted by Dysart et al On Tuesday May 26 the OPP executedsearch warrants at an address on Mountain Street in HaliburtonVillage laying drug charges against six people.
According to a press release from theOPP “Seized at this address was a quantity of cocaine and aquantity of Canadian currency” that being eight ounces of cocaineand some $7000 in cash.
Arrested were three people fromHaliburton aged 59 40 and 20 respectively as well as a 24-year-oldindividual from Omemee a 19-year-old from Scarborough and a17-year-old male from North York. All were charged with possession ofcocaine for the purposes of trafficking some with an additionalpersonal possession as well.
All are scheduled to appear in Mindencourt on Sept. 2.
