Food music and fireworks greeted guests at the Golden Gala on Saturday evening at Sir Sam’s Ski and Ride in Eagle Lake.

The celebration of 50 years in business included 150 attendees and the Bishop family of course who thanked everyone for their support over five decades.

Skiers came down the slopes with flares attached to bamboo poles creating a sparkling scene.

“We used to do them way back in the ‘70s and ‘80s” said co-owner Chris Bishop. The last time the hill did a torch run was a decade ago.

The party was catered by Eagle Lake Country Market’s Ross Gerry. Guests received a swag bag full of mementos at the end of the night.
