William Savage accused with the first-degree murder of Bowmanville man David Palmer remains in jail with his next courtroom appearance set for June 30 in Lindsay.
Savage from Fenelon Falls was charged with first-degree murder on Oct. 26 2016 in connection with the death of Palmer a 47-year-old man whose remains were found in the Haliburton area in May 2015.
A pre-trial at the Lindsay courthouse on March 27 was adjourned to May 15 until the most recent June date was set. Pretrials are not open to the public or media.
At the time of the arrest OPP confirmed that Savage and Palmer were known to each other. Palmer was last seen on Oct. 2 2015 outside of Pontypool and his vehicle was found on Oct. 14 near Spruce Lake Trail.
