Ghouls ghosts and goblins will be sauntering the halls of Pinestone Resort and Conference Centre this Halloween for a day full of activities for the whole family.

And let’s not forget the zombies.

Some of Haliburton’s most popular Halloween events have found their way to the resort on County Road 21 as Pinestone hosts Terror From Wonderland Road the second annual Zombie Walk and the Zombie After Party.

Organized by Pinestone’s general manager John Teljeur and event founder Cathy Barnett the events are sure to bring out the fright for people both young and old.

“We approached [Cathy] earlier this summer on the possibility of working together” said Teljeur.  “The long and short of it is to put all the events under one roof.”

A haunted house type experience Terror From Wonderland Road will be moving “underground” to a spooky corridors of the resort where kids and adults will be frightened by the sights that they see.
The experience will start at 1 p.m. on the Saturday and go until 10 p.m. A $10 donation or food donation is required.

“This is a rain or shine event” he said.

The Zombie Walk will also take place on the resort’s premises with the gathering starting at 2:30 p.m. Activities such as zombie make-up and more will take place from 2:30 to 4 p.m. with the official walk getting underway at 4 p.m. This event is open to all ages.

Then at 9 p.m. the zombies are welcome to attend the after party with live music taking place in the ballroom. The party is open to those 19 years or older.

All events require a food donation for entry said Teljeur. Donations are going towards area food banks.

“It’s all about the food banks” said Teljeur.

All three events are now an annual tradition in Haliburton something Teljeur is hoping will continue.
“I know the event will be well attended” he said. “What we want to do eventually is make it a big weekend event.”
