A 59-year-old Haliburton man is dead after a single vehicle collision involving a dump truck and pedestrian on Hwy 118 last week.
Haliburton Highlands OPP have distributed a press release today, Sept. 10, with further details of the collision that occurred on Sept. 4, which closed the highway from Fred Jones Road and Kennaway Road near Haliburton.
“On Sept. 4 at approximately 12:50 p.m., OPP and emergency crews responded to a single vehicle collision involving a dump truck and pedestrian on Highway 118 in the Township of Dysart et Al,” reads the press release. “The pedestrian, a 59-year-old man from Haliburton was transported to local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.”
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation, which is ongoing. No foul play is suspected.
