Overnight break and enter at laundromat


A break and enter at Parkside Laundryon Victoria Street in Haliburton resulted in cash stolen as well as damages.

PC Sean Hawley said that overnight onOct. 22 a CCTC camera and recording equipment were forcibly removedand stolen from the laundromat's inner office that had been forcedopen while a bill exchanger had been forced open and an undeterminedamount of cash stolen.

Haliburton Highlands OPP arrived at7:54 a.m. after the break and enter was discovered by cleaning staffin the morning.

No estimate on damages or monetarylosses has been established.

Several years ago mischief wasreported at the laundromat in 2014 when the washroom was enteredand damage caused to the wooden panels when they were ripped from thewall.
