OPP look for answers after body foundin Harcourt

A death investigation is underway afterthe body of a 69-year-old man was found on land at around 9:30 a.m.at the Harcourt Park Marina on New Year's Day.

Haliburton Highlands OPP are assistingthe coroner who attended the scene to do a postmortem examinationin determining the cause of the death. The body was taken to Torontofor an autopsy.

“We're still waiting for the resultsof that and I don't have any update as to when that might be” saidSgt. Peter Leon on Jan. 2. “We'll have to wait for the results ofthat to determine the next course of action.”

The man was from Dysart et al. AHaliburton Highlands OPP press release on Jan. 2 said foul play isnot suspected at this point in the investigation.

The deceased's name has not beenreleased to the public yet.
