An incident of vandalism occurred sometime between late Friday (Aug. 5) and Saturday morning (Aug. 6) in Head Lake Park resulting in the Rails End Gallery cart being destroyed seen here. OPP identify Eagle Lake drowning victims

The Ontario Provincial Police have identified the two men who drowned earlier this week after their boat capsized on EagleLake on Monday April 25.

The bodies of 24 year-old Kajan Kalapahan and 21 year-old Lingavijithan Kirupanayagamboth from Toronto were recovered from Eagle Lake on Tuesday April 26 just before noon.

The OPP called in the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit to assist the Emergency Response Team.

OPP EMS and firefighters were calledto the scene just after 5 p.m. on April 25 when two canoes capsizedaccording to a news release.

While some of the canoeists were ableto make it to shore two males did not return said the OPP.

“They were not wearing a PFD”stated the release.
