Nordic Hawks advance to OFSAA

The Red Hawks Nordic skiers pushed their way into all-provincials with Central Ontario Secondary School Athletics success last week.

Hawks veteran Christine Bishop and rookie competitor Brynn Meyers qualified for OFSAA with top eight finishes at COSSA on Feb. 18 at the Hardwood Ski and Bike facility as hosted by Huntsville High School.

First-year Nordic competitor Meyers placed fourth only four seconds behind second place. The team’s veteran Bishop who was weak from illness finished eighth. Another Nordic rookie Sydney Cameron finished her racing career with a win in the Novice division.
