A new season begins for the Red Hawks Wrestling Team. On Wednesday Dec. 2 the HHSS wrestling team travelled to Peterborough to compete at the 15th annual Kenner High School Wrestling Tournament.

More than 250 athletes from the COSSA and Durham regions attended the event. For many of the Red Hawks it was the first chance to meet the competition.

Overall HHSS had a successful day at the tournament. Seventeen Red Hawks competed and finished with a combined winning record of just under 70 per cent. Coaches Dan Fockler Paul Klose and Christianna Walker who is a Red Hawks alumnus were pleased with the performances of the athletes. For the most part adjustments were made to improve as the tournament progressed.
