Man charged with spray painting area businesses


On Saturday Nov. 14 officers from the Haliburton Highlands OPP were dispatched to a mischief call at the Shoppers Drug Mart in the Village of Haliburton.  A red can of spray paint was used to spray graffiti on the store windows.


Further checks revealed that the Pet Valu The Children’s Aid Society Dysart Public Library H&R Block and two private residences were also spray painted along with bridge railings and road signs.

As the investigation progressed information was received that led to a 20-year-old man from Haliburton.


Charged is a 20-year-old man. He is charged with nine counts of mischief under $5000.


He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on Jan. 6 .
