A 26-year-old Dysart et al man was charged with having care and control of a vehicle while impaired by a drug after police responded to a call of a truck in a ditch July 7.

Just after 7 p.m. on Friday OPP was called to respond to a pickup truck in the ditch on County Road 21 in Dysart et al.

The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Police charged the man with having care and control of a vehicle while impaired by a drug and possession of a schedule 1 substance. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on Sept. 6.
