Lake report making an impact

To the Editor

The Eagle-Moose-Glenn Lakes Property Owners Association just held their general meeting at Sir Sam’s Inn. The meeting was well attended and our association gained many new members. Members discussed issues of concern.

One of the highlights at the meeting was the distribution to members of the CHA’s (Coalition of Haliburton Property Owners Associations) Lake Health Report for the Haliburton Highlands.

The report was made possible through the dedicated work of Paul MacInnes president of the CHA and his many professionals and volunteers. His team has created an exceptional piece of work. This report lists data and summaries used to evaluate a lake’s health and will become a benchmark for Haliburton Highlands Lakes Health.

Paul MacInnes and his team of volunteers must be congratulated for creating this exceptional piece of scientific work which nevertheless has been written in such a way as to make it accessible to the layman. The CHA and the many lakes associations in the Highlands are dedicated to communicating to property owners on the lakes the importance of maintaining the health of our lakes for future generations.

Thank you Paul for this superb piece of work.
