On Jan. 21 at approximately 4:45 p.m. members from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of found human remains in the area of Glamor Lake Road in Highlands East.

The Haliburton Highlands Crime Unit continues to investigate this incident under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Jim Gorry of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

Police further advise that there is no public safety concern at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released when it becomes available
