Members of the Red Hawks have been having success in the sport of track and field following a good showing at the Central Ontario Secondary School Athletics championships and going on to compete at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations at the end of this week.
Eleven Haliburton Highlands Secondary School students have advanced to the OFSAA regionals to take place in Belleville this Thursday and Friday according to HHSS’s Bruce Griffith.
Griffith told the Echo that so far three school records were set including Ryan Manning in the 2000 steeple chase open Shawn Walker in the 800 metre (midget) category and Kenndal Marsden in the 200 metre (senior) category.
