The HHSS Wrestling Team wrapped up its pre-Christmas tournament schedule last week.

Nine Red Hawks travelled to Port Hope  to complete at the Port Hope Wrestling Invitational Tournament on Dec. 15 which hosted more than 230 athletes from around the COSSA (Central Ontario Secondary School Athletics) and Durham Regions.

The day ended with Aidan Coles and Jackson Gartshore each placing third in their respective divisions. Cassidy Glecoff wrestled well to place fourth.

Carmen Galea led the Red Hawks. She went undefeated and returned home as the champion in her weight class.

Congratulations to the entire team for a great first half of the season. Practices will resume after the Christmas break to prepare for the championship run beginning in February.
