A blaze on Eagle Lake Road destroyed adecades old barn that was home to a variety of animals on TuesdayFebruary 9.
Dysart firefighters got the call around11 a.m. and upon arrival found the barn fully engulfed in flames.
Fire chief Miles Maughan told the Echo all but a few of theanimals made it out of the structure.
The owner was out of town at the timeof the blaze. Area residents and those connected to the blaze madetheir way to the property and watched the barn burn for more than anhour.
As of Tuesday it was not yet known whatthe cause of the fire was said Maughan.
Firefighters were loading up water fromthe shores of Eagle Lake and transporting it back to the scene of thefire which was located at 2311 Eagle Lake Road.
