The following are HHSS sports briefs for the week ending Oct. 16.
First of two
The Red Hawks girls’ field hockey teams travelled to Peterborough on Tuesday Oct. 13.
The Varsity A team held onto their winning streak with a 5-0 win. Congratulations to the team and a shout-out to our goal scorers Alex French (2) Shae MacNaull Sydney Feir and Jamie Little.
The Varsity B won their first game 2-0. Congratulations and a shout-out to Taylor Davies and Maddie Allaire on their goals.
Saints weather too much
On the same day the Red Hawks varsity boys’ soccer team hosted a tough St. Peters’ team in the blowing wind. The boys played hard and kept the score close in the first half; however the weather and St. Petes eventually proved too much of an obstacle.
Hawks on a roll
Congratulations to the Varsity A girls’ field hockey team who continue to win as they beat the Crestwood Mustangs. Shout-out to our goal scorer Kenndal Marsden.
