One person was pronounced dead at the scene and two others weretransported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threateninginjuries after a head-on collision on County Road 503 in HighlandsEast.

Haliburton Highlands OPP responded tothe scene at approximately 12:40 p.m. on July 28. OPP tweeted at that time that the road had been closed on County Road 503 betweenGlamorgan Road and Irondale Road. Two vehicles were involved in the collision.

OPP Technical Traffic CollisionInvestigators attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

Names of those involved have not beenreleased. The investigation is ongoing. Further information will bereleased as it is available.
