Dysart launches new environmental activity book for children

To encourage recycling at home and in the community, the Municipality of Dysart et al has created an environmental education activity book, Let’s Protect the Environment Together.

Let’s Protect the Environment Together features Dysart’s recycling gorilla mascot, Wes Guilford, and includes waste sorting activities, a word search, colouring page, and other educational tools.

Teachers, early childhood educators, and homeschooling parents can use the Let’s Protect the Environment Together activity book to support language arts, social studies, science and technology, and arts curriculum.
You can pick up a copy of Let’s Protect the Environment Together from any of Dysart’s five landfills – Haliburton, Harcourt, Kennisis Lake, West Bay, and West Guilford – during regular operating hours. Just ask a landfill attendant. There’s no cost, but activity books are only available while supplies last. You can also download it free at www.dysartetal.ca.
