The Emergency Control Group met this morning as scheduled.
Yesterday the Province designated the entire legislated fire region of Ontario a Restricted Fire Zone. Until further notice all outdoor fires are prohibited in Haliburton County. Please note that boat launches in Dysart will remain open at this time. These areas do not contain high-touch surfaces and can be easily accessed while respecting social distancing rules.
With a confirmed case of COVID-19 in Haliburton County we would like to once again urge the public to take necessary precautions to stay safe and prevent the spread of the virus by following the advice of the World Health Organization: https://www.who.int/
