The Gryphon Trio (May 2) wonthe Juno for Classical Album of the Year in 2004 and 2011. The ElmerIseler Singers (Sept. 26) were nominated in 2011. Peter Tiefenbach ofthe piano duo Kortgaard and Tiefenbach (Oct. 25) was nominated in1993.
Performers in recent years have included these nominees andwinners: pianists Marc-Andre Hamelin David Jalbert Jamie Parker andRobert Silverman soprano Suzie LeBlanc mezzo-soprano Jean Stilwellflautist Susan Hoeppner violinist Scott St. John trumpeter Guy Fewand bassoonist Nadina Mackie Jackson.
Our little community is indeedfortunate to have the opportunity to hear so many gifted performers.
