A man who handed out a letter soliciting women’s panties for money has been warned by police to stop.

The letter had been given to two teenage girls in Minden several weeks ago asking to buy underwear that contained female pheromones. The letter writer said he was a chemical technologist who was doing research on the smell of pheromones.

The man provided a name and address on the letter which Haliburton Highlands OPP were able to confirm said Const. Sean Hawley.

“The male party is not from our area. There’s no ongoing concern for public safety or anything like that” he told the paper.

“We know who he is we know where he lives and he has been spoken to and will be spoken to again.”
Hawley said the teens had brought the letter to police immediately after receiving it which is the right thing to do.

“We take this type of thing very seriously” he said.
