The Minister of Education announced on Thursday, March 12 that all publicly funded schools will close for two weeks following March Break in response to the coronavirus. 

 

Ontario schools will be closed from March 14 to April 5. 

 

“We recognize the significant impact this decision will have on families, students, schools as well as the broader community, but this precaution is necessary to keep people safe,” a statement from Premier Doug Ford, Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliott and Education Minister Stephen Lecce reads.
