Membersof the Ontario Provincial Police Child Sexual Exploitation Unitassisted by the Technological Crime Unit and Bancroft OPP Detachmenthave arrested and charged a Cardiff man following a child pornographyinvestigation.

OnDec. 7 members of the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit the OPPTechnological Crime Unit and the Bancroft OPP Detachment arrested a28-year-old man for possessing and making available childpornography.

JohnAllen Belbin 28 of Cardiff is charged with two counts of possessionof child pornography and one count of making available childpornography.

Theaccused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on Dec.8 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.

Theinvestigation is continuing.
