Broken library window mischiefresults in arrest

A window of the Dysart branch of theHaliburton County Public Library was smashed during the early morning hoursof Sunday Feb. 3.


According to Constable Amanda Gilbertwith the Haliburton Highlands Ontario Provincial Police a witnessreported observing the suspect smashing the window and fleeing onfoot at about 6:55 a.m.


“Police located and arrested [thesuspect] a short time later” said Gilbert.


A 26-year-oldHaliburton man was arrested at a nearby residence and charged withMischief Under $5000. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court inMinden on April 3 2019.
